Imagine yourself running or walking with thousands of people, all drenched in vibrant colors. Think about participating in The Happiest 5k on the Planet, where the goal is to celebrate your health, happiness, and individuality. Well, that’s The Color Run for you! Founded by Travis Snyder, a Utah native and event producer, The Color Run was held for the very first time in January 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. As it gained popularity, it not only spread like wildfire all across the US, but also in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Italy, New Zealand, Singapore, and more.
Participating in the run is quite easy as it requires you to register for the race at a scheduled date. The fun part is, you don’t have to do it alone. You can include your family and friends to join in the fun and experience this amazing race together. So, ready to make your own team? Let’s find out how you should proceed.
You have to assemble a team of 4 or more people in order to register as a team. First and foremost, decide who the captain of the team will be as he/she will have to register before everyone else in the team. Next, the other team members will register (make sure you guys register as quickly as possible or else the race will be sold out). While the team members are registering, make sure they select the correct team name during the process and then make the payment. Every team member will pay for themselves.
Before you select any of these cool team names for The Color Run, do make it a point to discuss with the rest of the team members. This will not only save a lot of disagreement at the time of registration, but also help them find the team to register with.

At The Color Run, there are no rules … apart from the one rule they really, really stress on―wearing white during the race. Now don’t get disheartened with this information. Even though you’re stuck with wearing white, you can make your own white shirts and add creative elements to standout in the race. As long as it’s white, they’re not going to have any issues with it.
